April showers will hopefully bring May flowers!  I can’t believe that tomorrow marks the 3/4 mark of our school year.  The Dragon pod and the Phoenix pod are busily rehearsing for their upcoming pod shows and from all observation, it looks like the shows are going to be the best ones yet.

Tomorrow, April 12, students will be dismissed at 1:30pm for Collaboration Day.  Please make arrangements to have your child picked up early, as there will be no supervision after that time.  Also, on that day at 1:30pm, the PAC will be holding a Treat Day ($1.00/treat) and a Spring Christmas sale, all of which will be happening outside on the asphalt by the Gym doors.  See below for more details.

The PAC has extended the deadline to April 18 for ordering flowers for our Mothers’ Day Fundraiser!  This is a great opportunity to get your Mothers’ Day shopping done early!  See below for more details.

Also, in support of the PAC fundraisers, we have Purdy’s chocolate bars ($2 each) and Pub Night Fundraiser tickets ($25 each) for sale in the office.

MESSAGES FROM THE PAC

Christmas Store Clean Out will be happening on Friday, April 12 at 1:30pm (Early Dismissal Day).  Need holiday decorations? Come check out the Spring Christmas sale.  You will find decorations for every holiday and season (birthday party, Halloween, harvest, Easter and of course, Christmas).  Huge selection of picture frames, DVDs, CDs, movies, puzzles, and games too.  Volunteers needed – please email Cheryl DeFrane at thedefranes@telus.net if you can help.

The Blacklock PAC has organized a Mothers’ Day Fundraiser for our school through local Darvonda Nurseries.  Help support them by purchasing a 10 inch hanging basket for $16, a 12 inch hanging basket for $20, or a small “petal pot” potted plant for $7.50.   Orders are due by April 18 and can only be made online through https://munchalunch.com/schools/blacklock/

Pickup will be at the school entrance on April 30 at 2:45pm.

The annual Pub Night Fundraiser, will be taking place on Friday, April 26th, 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Townhall Public House, 19640 64 Avenue, Langley.  Tickets are $25 each (which includes a burger, fries, and a drink) and can be purchased at the Office.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR 2019/20

Edupac order forms for September’s school supplies went home this week.  This is an opportunity for you to get all your school supplies shopping done early and in one place!  The supplies will be delivered to your child’s classroom before the end of June.  If you want to participate in this handy service, please have your order forms returned to the school by Thursday, April 25.  Extra order forms are available at the Office.  If you choose to purchase next year’s school supplies on your own, the list is posted on our website under ‘Our School’, or you can click here –> 2019/20 School Supplies List
