Happy Friday everyone! What a beautiful spring day! If only this weather would continue throughout the month of April. Fingers crossed that the sunshine remains on Monday when our grade 4/5 and staff will be off adventuring to camp Jubilee. Check out next weeks blast for photos capturing the camp day!
This past week our students participated in Taekwondo with Shane Rahn from Rahn’s BBA. A huge thank you to Shane for coming to our school and teaching our students!
We are so proud of all our students for their wonderful behaviour and participation in this class. If there are any families that wish to have their children put into Taekwondo classes, below is the information.

Thank you to everyone who has purchased or returned the Big Box of cards. Please note that Monday, April 17th is the last day for this fundraiser. Please ensure that you either pay or return your box if you haven’t already.
The school receives $11 from every box sold! The top selling class will win a pizza party and for every 3 boxes sold per family, they will get entered into a draw for one of four $25 gift cards.
We still have a couple flats of Purdy’s chocolate available at the office for $3 a bar.

MESSAGES FROM THE BLACKLOCK PAC
We sent home Big Box of Cards home Friday, March 31st. Sent home with the youngest child. Inside is a notice with all the details and order form on the back. Please have a look and send either the box back to school or keep it and send in $35.
This is a great fundraiser though. You get 35 cards for $35, That’s $1 per card. And you will see that they are good quality cards with details and embellishments. So convenient to keep around for those last minute birthdays or events you forgot to buy a card for.
There is also the option to order an all birthday box or holiday card box. Check them out online. The holiday one comes with 50 cards for $35 in a variety of sizes. The PAC gets $11 back per box to put towards the students.
Feel free to share this fundraiser with family & friends. Fill out that order form and return either the box or payments by April 17. There are also some amazing prizes to be won all detailed on the form sent inside the box.

MESSAGES FROM THE GRADE 5 FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE
Grade 4 & 5 year-end field trip fundraising updates:
We have started an on-going bottle drive collection with proceeds going towards grade 4/5 year end field trips.
Please drop off any bottles you have to Fraser Valley Bottle and Return-it Depot (108-22575 Fraser Hwy, Langley, BC, V2Z 2T5). You can use the schools phone number (604-530-3188) to print labels for your bag(s). Also, a reminder to please make sure all bags only contain deposit bearing containers.
We also have Purdy’s milk chocolate bars for sale in the office. They are $3 a bar and can be purchased before/after school and during lunch/recess.
