Thank you to the PAC, who hosted a Pub Night Fundraiser last weekend. If you missed it, you missed a great evening of community building, wonderful prizes, and a silent auction filled with items to please everyone! Over $3,000 were raised and this money will go towards supporting many of the initiatives in our school, specifically improving the availability of Literacy to our students! Thanks again to all of you who supported this fundraiser!
Today was Book Character Spirit Day, where students dressed up as their favourite book character. It was wonderful to see so many of our students participating and entertaining to watch their book characters come to life! Nine lucky students (three from each pod) received a $15 gift certificate for use at our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair. Congratulations to everyone who participated!
Some of you may have noticed the presence of the RCMP and the Bylaw Officers in our parking lot and on the streets leading to our school this week. This was an attempt at reminding all of us that the safety of the students is our number one priority. Yes, our parking lot is not perfect, but if we all obey the laws and remember to have extra patience then, not only will our children be safe, but they will also have excellent role models.
Have a great weekend everyone!
