December 17, 2020
Our school just finished a wonderful Christmas Sing-A-Long, under the leadership of Mr. Thiessen and Mr. Huang. Even though we can’t be together in person in the Gym for these kinds of events, we are grateful that we were all able to connect via TEAMS. The next big event is our annual Christmas Concert. Mrs. Royer has done a fabulous job in taking on the compilation of each division’s performance and has linked it beautifully with the staff’s interpretation of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’. We are hoping that each family in our Blacklock Community will tune in at 6:00pm tonight to view this video. Blacklock’s 2020 Virtual Christmas Concert Thank you everyone for your hard work, creativity, and desire to make this Christmas a memorable one for all!
Tomorrow, is Pajama Day, our last Spirit Day of the week and House points will be updated in the New Year. Please note that any Lost and Found items that are left over at the end of the day will be donated to charity. Also, tomorrow, students will clean out their desks and bring home all their belongings to ensure that our custodians can do an additional deep clean of the building. Here is a link that will take you to the latest guidelines in utilizing the Chat feature in TEAMS. Developing Digital Citizens – Microsoft TEAMS Chat Use Guidelines 2020Dec2 Please review this as some features have been disabled in order to increase student safety.
As this is our last blast for 2020, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for hanging in there with us as we navigate through this crazy school year. I am so proud of everything that we have accomplished, despite COVID-19, and I wish you and your families a very happy and safe holiday season. I look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday, January 5, 2021!
