Blacklock Blast – December 4

December 4, 2020

One of the prizes for the Blacklock Read-A-Thon was an opportunity to throw a pie into Mr. Thiessen’s face for every class that raised at least $100.  Yesterday, everyone enjoyed the fun of watching as one randomly-selected student from each class was able to do this.  Thank you Mr. Thiessen for being such a good sport!  Stay tuned for the last two events, which include Division Three’s ‘unbirthday party’ and Ms. Eppich dressing up.

During the last week of school in December, we are planning many exciting activities; some of which include Theme Days as follows:
Monday, December 14 – Holiday Hat Day
Tuesday, December 15 – Grinch or Red/Green Day
Wednesday, December 16 – dress up as a Christmas tree or wear a Christmas Sweater;
Thursday, December 17 – dress in your Christmas best.  At 1:30pm students will be viewing the pre-recorded Christmas Concert, which will be made available to parents at 6:00pm
Friday, December 18 – Pajama Day

Next week on Friday, December 11, report cards will be published to the Family Portal in MyEd BC.  Here are some notes to help you login –> Report Card Information for Parents

Our Purdy’s chocolate bars fundraiser for our Christmas Hamper program is almost done.  Bars cost $2.00 each.  If you would like your child to be able to purchase one of these, please send some money to school with them on Tuesday or Thursday so that they can take part.

Here are the current House standings:

Mome Raths – 3,670; White Rabbits – 3,591; Cheshire Cats – 3,570; and Deck of Cards – 4,288.

Have a good weekend!

Susanna Eppich, Principal
