This is the final blast for 2022 and next week is filled with lots of exciting and fun festivities.
Report cards have been published and are available through the Family Portal.
We have our traditional Christmas spirit week starting on Monday!
Here are the themes for each day:
| Monday – | Christmas Hat Day |
| Tuesday – | Candy Cane Day – Wear red and white |
| Wednesday – | Holiday Cheer Day – Wear your favourite Christmas sweaters, sock, etc. |
| Thursday – | Grinch Green Day |
| Friday – | PJ Day |
Reminder that our Christmas concert is on Wednesday, December 14th at 5pm. Children are expected to arrive at school for 4:30pm at their regular entry door. Dressed in their Christmas best! Staff will bring students in and prepare them for the Concert. Once you have dropped your child off, please make your way to the front doors to line up for entry to the theater. At the conclusion of the concert students will return to their classrooms and you can pick up your children from their exit door.
Friday, December 16th the PAC will be providing a pancake brunch at 11:30 for all students. This will include 3 McDonald’s pancakes with syrup, a mandarin orange, and an apple juice box. Please remember to send a recess snack. A huge thank you to the PAC for organizing this!
We are still selling bags of Kernels popcorn for $3 in the office before/after school and during lunch/recess to raise money for Christmas hampers. We have 4 flavours: Butter salt, White Cheddar, Salt & Vinegar, and Creamy Caramel.

MESSAGES FROM THE BLACKLOCK PAC
If you ordered from the Purdy’s fundraisers your order is ready for pick up in the office.
We have pasta hot lunch on Monday, December 12th. If your child is going to be absent, you’re more than welcome to pick up their hot lunch from the office at noon; they will be packed in individual lunch bags and ready to go! Please email hotlunch.blacklock@gmail.com before 9:30am on Monday morning if you are wanting to pick up.
MESSAGES FROM THE GRADE 5 FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE
We are raffling off TWO CANUCKS TICKETS for the December 19th game against the St. Louis Blues– these are really great seats in section 116 row 22! Raffle tickets are $10 each and we will draw a winner the evening of December 15th. There are tickets available in the office for purchase.
