This is a reminder that tomorrow is Professional Development Day and Monday is Family Day, so there will be no school for students until Tuesday. We wish you a very happy long weekend with your family!
In preparation for the upcoming Student Inclusive Conferences and if you haven’t already, please remember to send in your child’s Student Inclusive Conference Family Reflection Sheet. (These completed sheets were due back to your child’s teacher today.)
Please remember to reserve a conference time with your child’s teacher for the Student Inclusive Conference by going online to http://bfa.schoolappointments.com. These conferences are happening between February 26 and March 8. The website will remain open for bookings until tonight, February 15.
The week of February 26 through March 1 is Diversity and Respect Week. Please note the following schedule:
Monday, February 26 – Design & Assessment and SIC Prep Day – no school for students
Tuesday, February 27 – Honour Your Roots Day (we are asking students and staff to wear something that honours their cultural heritage i.e. traditional dress/colours of the country)
Wednesday, February 28 – Pink Shirt Day
Thursday, February 29 – Team Spirit Day (wear your House shirt)
Friday, March 1 – Rainbow Day (wear the colours of the rainbow)
All of our Ukranian families are invited to the LSS Family of Schools Round Table discussions. The Round Table will take place in the Community Room at HD Stafford Middle School from 5:45pm-6:45pm on February 21, 28, March 6, and 20 and is aimed to provide a platform for newly arrived Ukrainians to connect and support each other. It is also for meeting new friends, solving problems together, sharing experiences and strategies that help in the hard moments. You are warmly invited to join in and participate in the building up of the Ukrainian Community.

STUDENT INCLUSIVE CONFERENCESStudent Inclusive Conferences (SIC) will take place between February 26 and March 8.
From February 6 to February 15, parents/guardians can reserve a conference time by going online to http://bfa.schoolappointments.com.
(Alternative conference times will be made available by teachers in unique circumstances.)
Student Inclusive Conferences replace the formal report card for Term 2. Therefore, it is essential that all parents arrange to attend this Term 2 conference with their child. Please note that Wednesday, March 6, 2024, will be a 2 Hour Early Dismissal and Thursday, March 7, 2024, your child will only attend during their scheduled conference time.
