January 7, 2022
Welcome Back! Who would have guessed that our return to school would look like this; however, on a positive note, I hope that you enjoyed a few extra days with your family and made the most of this extended winter break. As I write this, school will be back in session for all students on Monday, January 10, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back!
With the increased numbers of positive COVID-19 cases, as per the Public Health Order, we will be implementing enhanced Health & Safety measures. It is important that families utilize the Daily Health Check and only send their children to school when they are well. To help you with this, we’re providing you with a Daily Health Check App. This is an excellent tool that we encourage you to make use of. As a reminder, the following Health & Safety Guidelines are in place:
– Masks must be worn at all times, except when eating or outside
– Upon entry to the building and throughout the day, hands must be washed/sanitized
– Visitors must report to the Office and are limited to essential visits only
– Physical Distancing is encouraged
If your child will be absent from school for any reason, please remember to let us know either by phone 604-530-318 or by e-mail at BFAAttendanceVoicemail@sd35.bc.ca
Some of you may still be wondering about traveling outside of Canada and what this means for children upon their return. The District has provided details about this on the Daily Health Check form here. (You will find this information halfway down the form.)
