Last week our Little Dippers (Kindergarten & Grade 1) presented an amazing interpretation of “The Gruffalo”.  The hard work and dedication of everyone involved brought the quality of this performance to an extraordinary level.  I’m yet to find another school that can produce pieces where the Arts and the Academics are so magically combined in deep learning experiences for children.

School spirit is alive and well at Blacklock Fine Arts, where on Friday the staff and students participated in Superhero Day.  There were many fun costumes and we have encouraged the children to remember the qualities of a superhero and use them in their daily lives.

Five days to go!!!!!  And it’s going to be a busy lead up to Spring Break!  There will be a PAC Meeting tonight at 7:00pm…all are welcome.  Hot Lunch orders for this Friday’s Pizza Hut Hot Lunch will be accepted up until Tuesday, March 13.

Please make sure that you have read your child’s report card and have made an appointment to meet with your child’s teacher during parent/teacher interviews on Wednesday and Thursday.  Please remember students will be dismissed at 1:45pm on March 14 & 15, and there will be no supervision after that time, so please make arrangements for your children.

This week we will be selling off the leftover concession items (chips, drink boxes, and a few chocolate bars) from the Talent Show…items are $1 each and will be available for sale at the front office at recess, lunch, and after school until 3:00pm.

Friday is our last day before Spring Break…we wish all of you a restful time off and will see you back on Wednesday, April 4.
