Blacklock Blast – March 5

March 5, 2020

Congratulations to all of the students and staff who were part of creating the Fern Gully production of ‘These Are My Feelings’.  Everyone should be very proud of their accomplishments as the show was both entertaining and educational.  Well done!

Tomorrow Term 2 Report Cards will be published to the Family Portal on MyEd BC.  Much care and thought has gone into the creating of these report cards.  They contain important information about your child’s current progress and provide wonderful suggestions in how, in partnership with you, we can ensure continued growth during our final term.  Please also note that next week on Wednesday and Thursday, all students will be dismissed one hour early (at 1:45pm) to allow for Parent/Teacher Interviews.  If you haven’t already made an appointment with your child’s teacher, please do so as soon as possible.

The next PAC Meeting is Tuesday, March 10, at 9:00am and all are welcome to attend.  Be sure to click on the link below that takes you to the PAC Newsletter.  There is important information there that will keep you informed on all the ways you can support our school.

Tomorrow is Treat Day, so if you’d like your child to participate, please send $1.00 to school with them.  There is a limit of one treat per student.  Also, Purdy’s chocolate bars are for sale ongoing in the office for $2.00 each and the funds raised from this endeavor will be going towards supporting the Australia Zoo.

Here are the current house standings:
Monkeys – 15,365; Parrots – 14,420; Geckos – 15,611; and Jaguars – 14,301.

Have a great weekend!

Susanna Eppich, Principal
