With only 19 school days remaining, we acknowledge that Slytherin is currently in the lead with 12,060 points, followed closely by Hufflepuff with 11,488, Ravenclaw with 11,035, and Gryffinder with 10,476. We have some extra Ravenclaw and Gryffindor T-Shirts available for sale in the office for the bargain price of $5. If your child would like an additional shirt, or they have misplaced theirs, please feel free to stop by the office. Professors, yesterday, were busy planning the upcoming Sports Day, where the final challenges will take place to see which house will be the reigning champions for 2019. Here are some fantastic photos of a project that Mrs. Royer’s Kindergarten children completed today. Take a close look at the posters and see what wonderful creations they made (house, dragon, and car).
Blacklock students continue to have fun in the sun. Treat Day, Kilometre Club, Grade 5 Swimming Lessons, and Playground time are just some of the activities your children have been enjoying. Please remember to send a bottle of water, a hat, and appropriate footwear for running. Today, an important notice went home about our upcoming Tennis Workshops. Last year, these were well received by our staff and students and we encourage you to participate again this year.
Many students are choosing to bring their scooters/bikes to school. Please do not park your bikes inside the school, but bring a lock and utilize the bike racks. Students are encouraged to follow staff direction as to the storage of scooters and to not leave them near entryways, as this poses a safety risk.
Next week marks our bi-annual Victoria Field Trip for our Grade 4 and 5 students. We wish them a day filled with fun, learning, and the making of great memories. Thank you to all the parents and, specifically, our PAC who have fundraised for this special event. Your hard work and dedication to our school is greatly appreciated!
