Thank you to everyone who participated in the Family Film Festival, especially our two staff leaders Mrs. Schmuland and Ms. Lou Lou. Over the next several weeks, we will make the winning films available for viewing. Our First Place winner was ‘Apple Juice Stand’, which was submitted by the Garcia family. Increasing the reading levels of all of our students is our goal for this school year. In keeping with this, the Langley Rivermen Reading Contest was a success and the wining class was Division 9 – Mrs. Jarman. Everyone in Div. 9 who submitted their entry forms received tickets to an upcoming Langley Rivermen game. Congratulations!
It was a busy week with Halloween. Thank you to the PAC for hosting the Monster Mash Halloween Dance. Everyone who attended had a fantastic time and were grateful for this opportunity to have a fun and safe family evening together. The next day we did our traditional Halloween parade and Dance-off. This is a most loved and special tradition at Blacklock.
Blacklock Library’s 3rd Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest was a great success! Over 150 pumpkins were decorated and displayed in the two cases outside the gym and library. Thank-you to all the students and families who participated!
