It’s shaping up to be a busy week at Blacklock. The winner of the ‘Ride to School In A Firetruck’ is Tayden F.! Tomorrow morning he will be delivered to school by the Langley City Firefighters, where his class will greet him and receive gift bags. Congratulations Tayden!
Tomorrow and Thursday will be Kilometre Club, rain or shine! Please remember to dress your children appropriately.
On Thursday, the PAC is hosting a Halloween Dance from 5:00pm – 7:00pm in the School Gym. It promises to be a fun evening filled with lots of Halloween spookiness! See the PAC Newsletter for more details.
You should have received the photo proofs of your child last week. We would like to take this time to remind you that photo orders are due in by October 24. Details for how to order were included in your package. If your child needs a retake photo or was absent on the last photo day, please note that retakes will happen on Thursday, November 7.
This Friday is Professional Development Day, which means no school for students…so enjoy an extra long weekend!
Congratulations to all of the students who participated in our T-Shirt Design Contest. The winning entries were: Parrots – Sienna W., Monkeys – Kady B., Geckos – Ella F., and Jaguars – Trent B.

A new Blacklock Bedtime Story will be posted on the following Youtube channel: Youtube: The Mischievous Librarian every Thursday night at 6:00pm. Be sure to check it out.
The Langley Trappers Hockey Team invite you to a Sunday afternoon game on October 27, at 2:00pm. We have 25 children’s tickets that allow free entry with the purchase of an adult ticket. Adult tickets are half-price at $5 each. If you are interested in this opportunity, please come by the office to pick up the ticket. First come, first served. On Game Day, the following will happen: wear your Halloween costume as there will be a prize draw for the best costume, bring your skates and helmets and skate with the team after the game for 30 minutes, and there will be a chance to win a Wendy’s Restaurants meal for a family of four and other prize giveaways.
Points have been added to each of the houses. Here are the current standings:
