Hello Blacklock Families:
As many of you would remember our Read-A-Thon last year enabled each one of our divisions to receive $350 to support classroom library’s. Today Mrs. Huang was busy delivering these beautiful new books to all our classes. Thank you to all of you who supported and Mrs. Huang for purchasing and delivering our books.
Tomorrow your children will be bring home their brand-new house t-shirt. We are so pleased with the beautiful designs by Carlyn Andres our Aboriginal support worker. We would love it if your children would wear them on Wednesday so that we can take some photos to celebrate this year’s themes.
Our Remembrance Day Ceremony will take place at 10:30am on Thursday, November 10th. Doors to the theatre will open at 10:15am and parents/guardians are welcome to attend.
Please note that all of our students will be wearing black and each of them will be receiving a poppy from the Canadian Legion. If you would like to send a loonie to support this important cause the teachers will be happy to receive them on Thursday morning.
