Christmas Store

Christmas Store Is Coming
December 3rd & 4th

Each year in early December, we fill the gym with gently used gifts that children can purchase for their loved ones at home.

Overheard during the two days of the sale:

“My Dad likes fishing. Got any fishing stuff?”
“Do you have anything my 15 year old sister might like?”
“Do you have any catnip for my cat, Fluffy?”
“My older brother likes video games. Got any cool stuff?”
“Do you have any comic books?”
“I’m looking for a Barbie for my little sister.”
“Well, I guess my big sister likes craft stuff and pop music…”
“Do you have any purses?”
“I want to get my Mom some jewelry!”
“Do you have any mugs?”
“I’m looking for sports stuff for my Dad. He likes the Canucks.”
“I need to buy for my Dad, my Uncle, and my Grandpa. Where is all of that?”
“Got anything nice for my baby sister?”

Please consider these questions when you tidy up your home. If there’s anything you really don’t need that could be passed along, we’d love to accept it! Mugs, sports items (even a few unused golf balls!),
anything with popular logos, decorative items – all these things can make really interesting gifts once we do our magic with it. We can use more donation items right away, along with tinsel, ribbon, and recycled bows, so please consider the Christmas Store!

Volunteers are preparing gifts for the 2019 Christmas Store, to be held on Tuesday, December 3 and Wednesday, December 4 in the gym for all of our students. Please check around your home for clean and functioning items that would be good for Dads, Moms, Kids, Tweens, Babies, Hamsters, etc. We can especially use Dad gifts, toys, and anything for pets! You may drop them off, unwrapped, in the donation bin in the front foyer by the Main Office.  (No clothes please.)

We also need to restock:  Cloth shopping bags, Gift bags, Tissue paper, and Gift tags

We will set up the Christmas Store in the Gym starting at 1:30pm on Monday, December 3rd.

If you can help on Dec 2 (12:30pm-2:45pm), Dec 3 (8:45am-1:00pm), and/or Dec 4 (11:15am-5:45pm) to help set up, sell, wrap, or clean up after the event, please contact Kat at jkgoheen@shaw.ca.
(Younger sibs are welcome!)

Let’s get into the spirit of giving!
