SCHOOL SUPPLIES 2024/2025
We are excited to offer the opportunity to purchase quality standardized school supplies through EduPac for the 2024/2025 school year. This process will save you both time and money. Please note that this is for Grades 1 – 5 only. Kindergarten Supplies are purchased in bulk and parents will pay the school in September. Information will be sent home with your child.

SPORTSDAY
Friday June 14th is Sports Day, parents are welcome to attend and cheer during their child’s rotation times on the field and during the Tug of War portion of the day. Due to space constraints families will not be able to participate in the movie.
The day will kick off with our Wheels Parade: all students are encouraged to bring their decorated bikes/scooter (no e-scooters/e-bikes) and join in the parade to kick off Sports Day. Decorate your bike/scooter in team colours! Wheels can be dropped off in the gym before school starts. The parade will begin at 9am. Helmets are mandatory to participate in the parade.
9:20-10:30- Kindergarten and grade 4/5 classes stations on field (parents welcome to come and cheer) 1, 2, 3s movie in gym.
10:30-11:35- Lunchtime and Outside Play: Pizza lunch provided by school.
11:40- 12:50- Grade 1, 2, 3 stations on field (parents welcome to come and cheer) kindergarten and grade 4/5 movie in gym.
1:00-1:15- Recess
1:15-1:30- Grade 5 Tug of War, all watch on field. Grade 5s will battle it out on the field against each other and their parents. This will the final year of Tug of War at Blacklock.
1:30- Frozen Yogurt Treat Day in classrooms. Parents welcome to take their children home at this point.
LANGLEY MUSIC CHOIR
Langley Children’s Choir is looking for singers!
- School choir members (if your school has one)
- Good attitude and enthusiasm!
- Advanced vocal skills, and the ability to focus
- A firm commitment to the group
- Desire to develop as a singer and choir member
- Make new friends who like to sing, too
- Learn about how to sing better and learn lots of music
- Perform at other schools (a day off!)
- Have fun on a choir tour or camp in the spring
- Sing at festivals and hear other great choirs

We wanted to reach out to let you know about our NEW Summer Fun Passes for children & youth. If you feel this information would be valuable to add to school newsletters, socials, or end-of-year communication, please feel free to do so!

The Summer Fun Pass gives children and youth the opportunity to be active and enjoy unlimited drop-in access to pools, fitness centres, and gymnasiums at Township of Langley recreation facilities throughout the summer. Additionally, children and youth will receive free admission to Family Night and Youth Night events at The Outdoor Experience at Aldergrove Community Centre.
The Summer Fun Pass is available to children (4-12 years old) and youth (13-18 years old) for a one-time cost of $25 including tax. The pass is valid from Friday, June 28 to Monday, September 2.
These passes are now available for purchase, can be bought online by signing into your registration account at tol.ca/recregister and selecting the “Buy a Pass” option. You can also purchase the pass in-person or by phone at Aldergrove Community Centre, George Preston Recreation Centre, Walnut Grove Community Centre, and W.C. Blair Recreation Centre.
